Brodie Leibrandt Named Stitch Central Cougar of the Week

Brodie Leibrandt was chosen as Columbus State University’s Stitch Central Cougar of the Week for the week ending on February 19.
Leibrandt was masterful in a 1-0 complete game shutout over seventh ranked Francis Marion in the second game of a Sunday doubleheader. After the Cougars fell in the first game, Leibrandt stepped up out dueling last season’s Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the Year, Don Sandifer.
The southpaw scattered seven hits in the nine innings while striking out six batters and did not walk a man. Leibrandt escaped two major jams including inducing a double play with two-on and no-out helping the Cougars get out of the fourth inning unscathed.
