Kiana Nicholson was chosen as Columbus State University’s Stitch Central Cougar of the Week for the week ending on October 30.

Nicholson had her best game of her young collegiate career Wednesday (10/26) as she collected her first career hat trick. Her three goals help lead the Lady Cougars to a 4-0 win over Montevallo and clinched the third seed in the upcoming Peach Belt Conference Tournament.

The freshman did not waste any time as she scored the game’s first goal in the fourth minute of action. She received a ball from Jackie Ellis that she controlled in the box before blasting home a goal to the right post. In the 26th minute, the Marietta, GA native struck again scoring in the same manner as she did in the fourth minute sliding the ball to the right post. The final goal of the night for Nicholson was on a set piece in the 33rd minute. Jaci Carithers took a free kick which she passed the ball to Nicholson who netted home the goal to the right post yet again.

It was the first hat trick this season by a Lady Cougar and the ninth in CSU history.

Once again, congratulations to Kiana Nicholson, this week’s Stitch Central Cougar of the Week.
