Jared Sandler, ATC, M.Ed., is entering his second year as head athletic trainer and his eighth overall at Columbus State University in 2012-2013 year. In the previous six years years, Sandler has been the top assistant athletic trainer and prior to that a graduate assistant at CSU.
Originally from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Sandler received a Master's degree in Education at CSU in May 2007. He received his undergraduate degree from The University of South Florida in May of 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training.
In his seven years at CSU, Sandler has provided coverage for all varsity sports. Along with his responsibilities to school and athletic training Jared is an active member in a wide array of professional organizations including: National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), Georgia Athletic Trainers' Association (GATA), Southeast Athletic Trainers' Association (SEATA), Professional Football Athletic Trainers' Society (PFATS), and Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers' Society (PBATS). Some of Jared's interests are: hunting, fishing, sports, and his family. Jared and his wife Tamara, along with their dog, Dixie, reside in Phenix City, AL.
