Sports Medicine
Columbus State University has an outstanding sports medicine department serving its student-athletes, both on and off the field. Head athletic trainer Julio Llanos is set to begin his seventh year in charge of the department and has guided the evolvement of the program into a top-notch operation. Llanos and his staff focus on injury prevention, pre-game and post-game treatment, and rehabilition of athletic injuries. The program is strengthened through a partnership with Hughston Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Clinic here in Columbus - a world-renowned center for orthopedic and sports-medicine treatment.
