COLUMBUS – The Columbus State Hall of Fame committee and President Scott Miller is pleased to announce the four new members of the CSU Athletic Hall of Fame.

Former men's golfers Scott Clark and Mark Immelman alongside baseball player Keith Daugherty and women's track & field star Shelisia Crawford will be inducted during the 2017 ceremony. The event will take place on April 28 at 7 p.m. at the Country Club of Columbus.

"We couldn't be happier with the 2017 Columbus State Athletic Hall of Fame class," said Miller. "Our nominees keep getting better and better and our Hall of Fame is representing the greatness of CSU athletics. This just reflects the great tradition and history of excellence that this program strides for."

One of the best golfers in Columbus State history, Clark was a four-time All-American for the Cougars from 1989-93. Not only was he a member of the 1992 Cougar national championship team, Clark and the Cougars never finished worse than second at the NCAA Tournament. In addition to being on a national title team, Clark also helped CSU to the 1993 Peach Belt Conference championship. Clark was an All-PBC golfer in 1993 as well as a two-time Academic All-American.

Another Cougar golf legend, Immelman joins the long list of former CSU golfers in the Hall of Fame. A three-time All-American, while earning an honorable mention selection in the other year, Immelman was vital in two Cougar national championship runs. Immelman was on the 1992 and 1994 national title teams while CSU finished as the runners-up in 1993. He was named the 1994 PBC Player of the Year after capturing the individual title at the championship that season. In the classroom, the current CSU Director of Golf was a two-time Academic All-American.

Daugherty made his mark at Columbus State in the early 1990s and is still considered to be one of the best sluggers in CSU and PBC history. A two-time All-American in 1994 and 1995, Daugherty still ranks inside the top-five in CSU history in hits (268), runs (160), home runs (39), RBIs (179), doubles (50) and total bases (441). During his time as a Cougar, Daugherty helped lead CSU to the program's first PBC Tournament title in 1994 as well as leading the Cougars to two NCAA Tournaments in 1992 and 1994.

Crawford put the Columbus State track & field program on the map in the first years of the program. During her time as a Lady Cougar, Crawford earned four All-American accolades becoming one of the best sprinters in the nation. Crawford earned All-American laurels in the 100-meter dash in 2010 before back-to-back standout performances in the 200-meter dash in 2011 and 2012 at the national meet to earn two more All-American honors. To cap her career off, Crawford was a part of the 4x100-meter relay team that finished third at the 2012 NCAA Championship. Crawford still holds eight CSU school records, including the 100 and 200 meter dashes.

The Columbus State Hall of Fame was established in 1996 and currently has 93 members.
