Leibrandt Named PBC Pitcher of the Week

Augusta – Brodie Leibrandt was named the Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week announced by the league's office Tuesday afternoon.
This is the second time this season Leibrandt has won the award making him the first pitcher in the conference to win multiple Pitcher of the Week awards this year.
On Sunday, the junior tossed his second complete game shutout the season as the Cougars blanked Montevallo 16-0. He allowed just four hits while striking out five batters. Only two base runners in the entire game reached second base.
Leibrandt is now tied for second in the league with six victories, leads the league in innings pitched (66.1) and complete games (five), in seventh in ERA (2.31) and is tied for 10th in strikeouts (44).
