Leibrandt Added to Tino Martinez Award Watch List

Columbus – Columbus State University junior left-hander Brodie Leibrandt has been added to the 2012 Tino Martinez Award watch list. The annual award goes to the most outstanding player in Division II baseball.
Leibrandt has been phenomenal for the Cougars this season. In 11 starts, he has a record of 6-5 with an ERA of 2.13. The southpaw has tossed five complete games including two shutouts while racking up 80.1 innings pitched.
The junior ranks fifth in the Peach Belt Conference in earned run average while his innings pitched total is second in the league. He has also throw the most complete games in the conference.
Leibrandt joins fellow CSU players Cameron Scott and Brett Teschner on the watch list. Scott and Teschner were on the initial list that was released in February.
Columbus State will return to the diamond on Friday, April 20 as they face off against Georgia College in Milledgeville beginning at 6:00 p.m.
