Men's Basketball Kicks for the Cure this Saturday
CSU fans will be excited to see players from CSU men's and
women's basketball getting their kicks in during women's soccer on
Saturday, September 26th, when the teams will face off in an
amateur soccer match at halftime. Both teams will be
available for autographs after the exhibition.
The CSU women's soccer team is fighting for a cure against breast cancer at their first ever "Kick for the Cure" event. The Lady Cougars will host USC Aiken at Walden Soccer Complex on the CSU campus at 1:00 PM (EDT). CSU will sport white uniforms with pink trim while the USCA Pacers will wear pink, and the Peach Belt Conference will provide pink soccer balls for the contest.
The Kick for the Cure Game raises money and awareness of breast cancer in support of the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Rather than charging admission to the event, the Cougars ask that fans make a donation to the dedicated organization as they enter the gate. Free literature on breast cancer awareness will be given out during the event.
Men's basketball tips off at Dillard University in New Orleans on November 12, and will have its home opener at the Lumpkin Arena at 7:00 PM (EST) on November 30 versus Carver Bible College.
