First Round at USF Event Suspended due to Darkness, CSU Will Resume Play Tomorrow Morning

Dade City, Fla. -- A forty-five minute frost delay Friday morning put the 23-team University of South Florida Invitational behind schedule and seven teams were still on the course when play was halted due to darkness, including Columbus State.  University of North Florida fired a morning round of 286 (-2) and leads by two shots over Middle Tennessee State, Florida Southern, and Campbell, who each shot even par 288s.  UNF's Sean Dale, Florida Southern's Matt Stauch, and Arkansas State's Wessel Zwelgers are tied for the individual lead with 4-under 68s.

CSU's Justin Grice (76) and Steven Paine (82) were able to finish their first rounds before play was suspended.  Three other Cougars still have holes to play - Michael Hicks (-1), Stephen Swanepoel (E), and Ben Kishigian (+3) and will finish their rounds tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m. from Lake Jovita Golf Club.
