Justin Grice Selected as PBC Men's Golfer of the Week
Augusta – Justin Grice has been selected as the Peach Belt Conference men's golfer of the week announced by the league office.
Grice had his best tournament in his collegiate career this week as he won the Indian Bayou Classic hosted by North Alabama. He won the event by virtue of a sudden death playoff with Saint Leo's Nick Brothers. In brutal conditions, the senior ended the two-round event with a four-under par 140 mark. The South Africa native was clutch as he birded seven out of the last eight holes including birding both playoff holes. Grice shot a second round score of four-under 68 which was his best round of his collegiate career.
His second round score of 68 is one of seven fired in the league this season and he has jumped into sixth in the PBC with a 74.8 stroke average.
This is the first time this season that a Cougar has won the award.
Columbus State will have a week off before competing in the Rollins Invitational on Monday, October 24.
