Augusta – Justin Grice has been named the Peach Belt Conference Golfer of the Week announced by the league's office on Thursday.
It is the second time this season that Grice has won the honor with the first coming after the senior won the Indian Bayou Classic back in October.
This week, Grice led the Columbus State University men's golf team to a fourth place finish at The Outback Invitation. The event took place at The Hombre in Panama City, FL.
As a team, CSU finished one shot short of a three-team playoff for the title shooting a two-round score of 602.
Grice also just missed out on a playoff by one stroke as he finished in third place. The senior was very consistent during the event shooting rounds of two-over par 74 and a one-over par 73 in the final round. For the event, he shot a three-over par 147.
The South Africa native, was the highest finisher from any PBC school as there were four PBC teams in the field. The third place finish was the second top-five performance of the season for Grice.
Columbus State will hit the links on Monday, February 13 as they compete in The Matlock Invitational at The Lone Palm Country Club in Lakeland, FL.
