Huning Joins VSU Hall of Fame

Valdosta, GA – Current Columbus State assistant tennis coach Eva Huning was inducted in the Valdosta State University Athletic Hall of Fame this past Saturday. It was the school's 16th annual Hall of Fame Class. 

Huning was a three-time All-American at Valdosta State becoming the first VSU women's tennis player to accomplish the feat. Overall, Hunning had a 40-14 record as a singles player and a 43-17 mark as a doubles player. 

While being the top player at VSU, Huning guided her team to the NCAA Tournament each season while leading the Blazers to their first national semifinal appearance in 2005. 

Huning played the 2009 season at Columbus State posting an impressive 18-1 at number one singles. For her efforts, she was named an All-American for the fourth time in her brilliant career.
