No. 9 Cougars Blank Morehouse 9-0

Atlanta, GA – The ninth ranked Columbus State University men's tennis team continued their great play in the early portion of the season as the Cougars defeated Morehouse 9-0 Saturday morning in Atlanta.
The Cougars (4-0) jumped out to a commanding 3-0 lead after sweeping all three matches in doubles competition. The sixth ranked Cougar duo of Martin Shishkov and Olivier Simonet had no problems at number one doubles as they took down Dewayne Dixon and Kahai Hall 8-3. Gordan Divljak and Quentin Rayniere defeated Jordan Bailey and Noah Terry 8-2 at second doubles. In the final doubles match of the morning, Michael Trebuhov and Adi Malicbegovic pitched the shutout against James Pressley and Nate Senkwere 8-0.
In singles play, 25th ranked Simonet played in and won his first singles match of the season over Dixon 6-2, 6-2. At second singles, 42nd ranked Shishkov had no problem defeating Hall 6-1, 6-0. Divljak took down Bailey in straight sets 6-1, 6-1 at third singles.
Rayniere made quick work of Terry in the next match blanking him 6-0, 6-0. Freshman Oussama Zoghlami won at fifth singles 6-0, 6-1 over Pressley. In the final match of the day, Danilo Sardelli defeated Ryan Rutledge 6-1, 6-0 at sixth singles.
Columbus State will be back in action tomorrow February 19 as they take on Tuskegee at the Mary V. Blackmon Tennis Center. The match will begin at 4:00 p.m.
