Columbus – The Peach Belt Conference released the men's cross country All-Academic team today and two Cougars made the grades in the classroom and performed with excellence when they put their toes to dirt in competition to make the roster.

Columbus State University junior Andy Henderson was honored for his 3.58 GPA. Henderson majors in Biology at CSU and finished the highest of any Cougar racer at the PBC Championships in Aiken, finishing 10th at the meet.

The only other Cougar to make the All-Academic team was senior John Neill. Like his understudy Henderson, Neill majors in Biology at CSU and has earned a 3.45 GPA during his academic career. Neill's best meet of the season came when he finished second to sophomore Ian Edwards at the Georgia Southwestern Remembrance Run.

To be eligible for the All-Academic team, Henderson and Neill had to participate in at least half of the Cougar's meets this season as a starter or significant contributor, achieve a better than 3.30 GPA in the classroom and have completed one year on CSU's campus.
