Kaycee is entering her first season at Columbus State.
High School: Graduated from Ware County High School in Waycross, Georgia…Played four years at Ware County for Coach Rebecca Kirkland… helped lead her team to the “Sweet 16” in 2009 and a Sub-Region championship in 2010… committed only three errors as a first baseman her junior season and was awarded Best Defensive player by her team… Played in the 2010 Georgia Dugout Club All-Star Game… honored as Student Athlete of the Year 2010-2011, 1st team All-Region, and Best Offensive Player her senior year.
Personal: Daughter of Everett and Terri Meeks who she lists as the most influential people in her life because they challenge her to set high goals and dream big…favorite food is spaghetti…plans on working in neonatal nursing… selected Columbus State as the school for her because of the strong nursing program and home-like atmosphere… views Jennie Finch as her sports role model… if given a million dollars, she would donate a portion to a children’s hospital, a portion to the mission field and keep a small portion for herself… would like to spend one day with Cat Osterman to find out what it takes to be a Team USA softball player.
