An inning later the offense was back at it this time putting up a three-spot on the board.  Kori Waugh began the frame with a double and moved up to third on a sacrifice bunt.  Branigan Wix then walked and stole second to get into scoring position.  Waugh scored on the play as GSW's shortstop committed an error  making it a 2-0 contest.

Kristen Gregory doubled the lead for the Lady Cougars with one swing of the bat as the senior launched her first homerun of the season to make it 4-0 in favor of the visitors.

CSU put the finishing touches on the scoring in the sixth which began with Wix hitting a triple down the leftfield line.  Pinch-hitter Lucy Lamb then delivered a RBI single to right-centerfield making it a 6-1 ballgame.

Mollie Russell (13-9) struggled a bit with her control issuing five walks over six innings but still managed to limit the Lady Cane offense to just one run over six innings of work.  Kristen Carr tossed the final inning, recording one strikeout in the process.

Gordon, Waugh and Gregory paced the offense as each Lady Cougar picked up two hits in the ballgame.  Knight and Wix each scored twice for CSU.
