Columbus State Women's Soccer Trio Attend NSCAA Coaches Convention
COLUMBUS - A trio of Columbus State women's soccer players went up to Baltimore, Maryland to be recognized for their excellence on the playing field and in the classroom at the NSCAA Coaches Convention.
Seniors Stephanie Parrish and Kate Walton were both selected as NSCAA Scholar All-Americans after boasting stellar seasons on the pitch and in the classroom during their tenure at CSU. Parrish, the Lady Cougars all-time leading scorer, was second on the team this past fall with 13 goals and tied for the team lead with seven assists. The accounting major graduated in December with a 3.52 GPA and is currently enrolled in the M.B.A. program here at Columbus State. Walton also had seven assists on the year and scored five goals during her senior season The nursing major currently holds a 3.40 GPA and is scheduled to graduate in May.
Junior Stephanie Lowery was also honored as a Second Team All-American after producing one of the finest single-season's for a Lady Cougar. The midfielder led the conference in scoring with 19 goals and 43 points, both of which are single-season school records. She was the Peach Belt Conference Co-Player of the Year, Daktronics Southeast Region Player of the Year and a Daktronics First Team All-American.
