Augusta – Kansas Bayly has been selected as the Peach Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week announced by the league office.

This is the second consecutive week that Bayly has been honored by the conference.

Bayly was instrumental in leading the Lady Cougar defense to two shutouts.  She scored the game-winning goal in CSU's 1-0 win over tenth ranked North Georgia, shutting down the highest-scoring offense in the PBC and handing NGCSU their first loss of the year.  She then helped hold West Georgia to four shots in a 4-0 CSU victory. The shutouts were the sixth and seventh of the year for the Lady Cougars.

Overall, this is the third time that the Lilburn, GA native has captured the DPOTW award.

Columbus State will hit the pitch again tomorrow, October 19 as they will travel to face Clayton State. The match is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Laker Field in Morrow, GA.
