#8 CSU Women Blank USC Aiken 9-0 on Saturday

Aiken, S.C. -- Eighth-ranked Columbus State won all three doubles points to get off to a good start and then won every singles match in straight sets on Saturday at USC Aiken to take a 9-0 Peach Belt Conference win. CSU is now 13-2 overall on the season and 7-1 in PBC play. 

Sofia Persson and Gabriela Vasilescu had the tightest match in doubles as they defeated Stephanie Humphrey and Maria Angel 8-6. Persson also had the most tightly-contested set in her singles match as she won the first set 7-6 over Angel before closing it out with a 6-3 second set.

CSU finishes its weekend road swing at Augusta State on Sunday.
