CSU Women Defeat Augusta State 9-0

The #8 CSU Women's tennis team completed a successful weekend trip blanking Augusta State 9-0 on Sunday. The win moves their record to 14-2 overall and 8-1 in the Peach Belt Conference.

In doubles play, the #1 team of Loriane Favoretto and Hanane Toumi were tested but prevailed by a score of 9-7. Both the #2 team Gabriela Vasilescu/Sofia Persson and the #3 team Tracy Castillo/Lucy Bird cruised to easy victories 8-2 and 8-1 respectively.

The Lady Cougars won the singles 6-0 with Andrea Redrado and Lucy Bird winning their matches without dropping a game.

The women's team is back home for a match against BYU-Hawaii on Wednesday at 2:00 in non-conference action. They return to PBC play on Saturday as they travel to GCSU for a 2:00 match in Milledgeville.
