Tracy Castillo Named Women’s Tennis Preseason All-Peach Belt

AUGUSTA, GA – The Peach Belt Conference has released the 2011 women's tennis preseason All-Conference team from the league office in Augusta.  The six-member team represents four PBC member schools as selected by the league's head coaches.  Three-time defending national champion Armstrong Atlantic State leads the team with three honorees while Clayton State, Columbus State and Francis Marion have one each.

Columbus State's Tracy Castillo was named second-team All-Conference in both singles and doubles in 2010 in her freshman season.  Now a sophomore, the Aachen, Germany, native is ranked 17th in the nation in singles to begin 2011 and, along with partner Renata Paiva, is 18th in doubles.  Castillo was 16-5 in singles play last year, including an 8-1 mark in conference action.

Kathleen Henry, Alida Muller-Wehlau and Tina Ronel all represented Armstrong Atlantic State while Mana Blauen was picked from Francis Marion and Katie White was selected from Clayton State.
