Walden Soccer Complex

The Walden Soccer Complex was officially dedicated after John and Rankin Walden on October 21, 2009 and has been home to the Columbus State University Women’s Soccer program since its inception in 2004.

The complex is one of the premier facilities in the Southeast Region with a 120’ x 75’ bermuda grass playing surface. Prior to the 2005 season, the 2,500 square foot clubhouse, which includes a team locker room, coaching offices and training room as well as a concession stand and restroom facility was completed. A 750 seat grandstand was installed before the 2008 season with a matching one added in 2014.

These additions have provided the soccer program with some of the best amenities for training and competing on the national level, and a tremendous home-field advantage.  Since the 2005 season, the Lady Cougars have boasted a 111-15-6 record at The Walden Soccer Complex including a perfect 10-0-0 record in 2016. From September 12, 2007 – October 21, 2009, Columbus State University had a 31-match unbeaten streak at home, which included 29 victories. CSU hosted three straight conference tournaments from 2005-2007 before the semifinals and finals were moved to a neutral site in 2008.  Columbus State also has hosted the NCAA First and Second round contests eight years and the third and fourth rounds in 2007.
