Mary V. Blackmon Tennis Center

Named after a pioneer in women college athletics, the Mary V. Blackmon Tennis Center was officially dedicated on April 8, 2001. Founder of the Columbus State University women’s sports programs, Blackmon served the University for 28 years as the head women’s tennis coach, head women’s volleyball coach and faculty member.

The facility features 10 lighted courts, a pro shop and a restroom facility. There is bleacher seating that allows you to see multiple courts at one time. There is also a grass area that fans can watch the matches from as well.

The Mary V. Blackmon Tennis Center has hosted 14 NCAA Tournament regionals, nine women and five men. The tennis courts are resurfaced every year to provide the student-athletes with an optimal playing surface.
