Chera Lyn Owens was a two-time All-Peach Belt Conference selection for the Columbus State Softball program under Head Coach Judy Favor. Owens was also recognized an All-PBC Tournament Team selection and Division II South Atlantic Region Team member in 1996.
Owens also helped lead the Lady Cougars to the program's first ever national ranking as well as three-straight South Regional Tournament appearances her last three seasons. At one point, Owens held the record for most innings pitch and most wins for the softball program.
