Larry Kees coached the Lady Cougar slow pitch softball team from 1981 to 1985. He led the team to a record of 142-55, while winning the State Championship 3 times and the Conference Championship twice. In 1986 the NCAA and CSU switched to fast pitch softball and over the next 7 years he won a Conference Championship and guided the Lady Cougars to a 150-113 record. His combined record in 11 years as the Lady Cougar head coach was 292-168.
