From 1988-1977 his teams consistently won either the District 25 NAIA competition or the South Atlantic Conference in NCAA Division II. He founded the All-Dixie Intercollegiate Golf Championship (later named the G. Gunby Jordan Golf Classic), Southern Junior Senior Collegiate, Callaway Cup, and the Fred Haskins Award, presented to the Nation’s outstanding Collegiate golfer.
