Ramona Arscott Rothell played four seasons for the Lady Cougars softball team. She holds the distinction of being the first female All-American in a team sport in CSU history with that honor coming after her junior season of 1996. In her All-American season she batted .497 with 65 RBIs, 6 home runs, 12 doubles, and 7 triples. The .497 batting average set a CSU record. She made the All-Peach Belt Conference team in 1994, 1995, and 1996 and the PBC All-Tournament team all four seasons. She helped lead CSU to a 157-49 record in her four seasons. Her 21 game hitting streak in 1997 is still a CSU record. That 1997 season also saw her commit just two errors in 192 chances at second base. She is a career .407 hitter with 175 RBIs and 61 out of 66 in the stolen base department. She also pitched 68.1 innings in her career.
