Four-Year starter in basketball from 1974-1978. Named team’s Most Valuable Player in 1975, 1976, and 1977. Leading scorer as a sophomore and junior, top rebounder as a freshman and sophomore. Was a mainstay on school’s first South Atlantic Conference Championship team in 1977-78 which went on to play in the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Tournament in Springfield, MO. Averaged 14.6 points and 8.6 rebounds for each of his 94 games. Biggest season came in his sophomore year when he averaged 17.1 points a game and 10.2 rebounds a game.
