TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – In the final regular season meet of the fall, the Columbus State University men's and women's cross country teams took to the course Friday morning at the Florida State Invitational.

The Cougars finished in fourth place in the College Division, while the Lady Cougars grabbed sixth.

Wright Calhoun tallied his third top-10 finish of the season to lead the way for the Cougars on Friday. The sophomore covered the course in 26:13 and finished 10
th.

Austin Kidd added a 20
th-place finish in 26:40, while
William Michael and
Charles Asouzu made it four Cougars in the top 30. Michael took 25
th in 26:50 with Asouzu following in right behind him at 26:52 in 26
th.

Noah Hollis closed out the team scoring with a time of 27:27 for 37
th place.

Alli Hay posted the fastest time for the Lady Cougars once again on Friday, earning her second straight top-10 finish. The freshman crossed the line in 19:39 in ninth place.
Jastonie Hill wasn't far behind her teammate with a time of 19:58 and finished in 18
th.

Dara Staton and
Na'ilah Allen were the other team scorers for the Lady Cougars Friday. Salazar Torres ran 20:42 in 40
th, Staton finished in 21:28 in 51
st and Allen ended in 61
st in 21:47.

Both teams will now turn their attention to the Peach Belt Conference Championship on Oct. 21. Columbus State will serve as the host of the meet, which will be held at Stewart Field on Fort Benning.
