COLUMBUS – Winners of 12 straight, the seventh-ranked Columbus State University women's basketball team will head to Montevallo on Saturday for the first of three consecutive on the road. Tipoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. inside Trustmark Arena.

The Lady Cougars are 13-3 in 16 all-time meetings with Montevallo after winning the earlier matchup. Columbus State has won eight straight over the Falcons, dating back to the 2012-13 season. CSU is 5-2 all-time at Montevallo.

Montevallo (5-18, 2-14) snapped a seven-game losing streak on Monday night with a 58-48 win at Young Harris.

The Falcons dropped their most recent outing 71-43 at home to Georgia College on Wednesday.

UM ranks near the bottom of the PBC in scoring on both offense (12
th) and defense (13
th).

Morgan Smith leads the Falcons in scoring at better than 12 points per game, but the senior had just five in the first meeting with CSU.

The Lady Cougars clinched at least a share of the PBC West Division title with Wednesday night's win over Clayton State. CSU will earn it outright with its next win or a Clayton State loss.

Columbus State has now put together a winning streak of at least 10 games in three consecutive seasons.

The Lady Cougars' No. 7 ranking is the highest CSU has been in the polls since opening the 2015-16 season at sixth in the preseason poll.

Only two undefeated teams remain in Division II and the Lady Cougars are one of five other teams with just one loss.
