Howard on the Matchup

"Wingate is an extremely well-coached team. They have a great post player that was co-Player of the Year and they have really good players around her. We saw them compete in our building last year and we know they're going to be tough."

Series History

Columbus State and Wingate are meeting for the fifth time overall and third in the NCAA Tournament. The series is even at two apiece and the two teams have split the two NCAA matchups.

Last Meeting

CSU opened the 2016 NCAA Tournament with a 79-72 victory over Wingate in Gaffney, S.C. Michelle Mitchell had a game-high 25 points and was one of four Lady Cougars in double figures.
