David Marley released the 2019 Columbus State University cross country schedule Wednesday.
The Cougars and Lady Cougars will run in seven scheduled meets, including the Peach Belt Conference Championship in Lumberton, N.C. on Oct. 26 and the NCAA Southeast Regional in Wingate, N.C. on Nov. 9. The top three finishing teams at the regional will advance to the NCAA Championship on Nov. 23 in Sacramento, Calif.
"The goal of this program is to compete at 100 percent so we can be proud of our efforts," stated Evilsizer. "We want to improve each time out striving for our ultimate goal, which is to become champions."
"We have a very talented group on the women's side this year," added Marley. "We will work hard during the regular season to be in championship shape when the postseason arrives."
The season will begin on Sept. 7 as Columbus State hosts the Cougar Classic in Smiths Station, Ala. Both teams will be looking to defend their titles after capturing victories at the event in 2018.
