MONTEVALLO, Ala. - The Columbus State University women's basketball team remained unbeaten on Tuesday night following an 83-55 road victory at the University of Montevallo.
The Lady Cougars (5-0) were down 17-16 after the first but then outscored UM by 29 over the final three quarters to secure their fourth double-digit win of the year.
Columbus State had an efficient offensive night, shooting 46.5% from the floor with 11 players scoring at least two points.
Chrisalyn Boston posted her second straight double-double with a 15-point, 11-rebound performance. She added three blocks, two steals and two assists to her stat line.
Amber Abusbeih and
Emilia Tenbrock each had 13.
The game was tied at 26 until CSU went on an 8-1 run over the final 3:44 of the first half to take a 34-27 lead. Abusbeih had five during the spurt, including hitting a 3-pointer to kick off the run.
CSU put the game away after scoring the first nine points of the third to take a commanding lead.
Shyan Flack scored 13 points for Montevallo (3-4) after going 5-for-8 from the field.
UP NEXT
Columbus State will play in the Valdosta State Thanksgiving Classic on Friday and Saturday. CSU will take on Valdosta State on Friday at noon before hitting the court against Eckerd College on Saturday at 2 p.m.
