Box Score AMERICUS, Ga. - The Columbus State University women's basketball lost the 2022-23 season opener 68-66 to Chowan University on Friday, Nov. 11. The Lady Cougars are playing in the PBC/SAC Challenge hosted by Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus.
CSU was leading Chowan the entire game, outscoring the Hawks each period of play. It wasn't until the final minute when Chowan tied the game and took the lead with only 21 seconds left in the game.
NOTES:
- Kristyn Goshay and Amber Abusbeih led the Lady Cougars in points, with Goshay scoring 14 and Abusbeih tallying 13.
- Goshay went 4-for-6 from the three-point line and 5-for-9 from the field.
- Emilia Tenbrock grabbed 11 rebounds, scored nine points, made four steals and had three assists.
- CSU recorded seven blocks as a team with Maya Jackson making two.
- Olonna Rawls and Tenbrock grabbed four offensive rebounds each
