GAME 1: VSU 3, CSU 0

Columbus State and Valdosta State were scoreless through the first three innings until VSU scored two unearned runs in the bottom of the fourth off a Cougar error in center field.

CSU kept the Blazers at two until the bottom of the sixth as Taylor Macera collected an RBI single up the middle, making it 3-0.

Hannah Rose Corbin (16-9) received the loss inside the circle after allowing one earned run and striking out eight.

The Cougars recorded four hits as Caitlyn Canady, Kenzie Bayer, Morgan Elston and Laura Harris each collected one.

GAME 2: VSU 8, CSU 2

Corbin made it 2-0 in the top of the first as the junior ripped a two-run home run over the right field fence to give Columbus State an early lead.

Valdosta State tied the game in the bottom of the inning thanks to a Taylor Lewis RBI single to third base. The Blazers were able to plate another run as CSU catcher Grace Kiser made a throwing error on an attempt to get Kylie Proctor out at second base, who then scored because of the overthrow.

VSU took the lead in the second scoring two runs to put the Blazers ahead 4-2. With runners on second and third, Nikki Pennington collected an RBI with a sacrifice fly out to center field. Ally Clegg then hit an RBI single to left field to give the Blazers a two-run lead.

The Blazers extended its lead to 5-2 in the fourth with a bases loaded RBI groundout.

VSU added three more runs in the fifth with the help from Aniston Gano's two-run RBI ground-rule double.
