COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University men's and women's basketball teams are set to host Peach Belt Conference opponent Young Harris College Wednesday, Jan. 11 inside the Frank G. Lumpkin, Jr. Center. The women will tip off at 5:30 p.m. and the men at 7:30 p.m.
For the women, CSU (8-4, 2-2 PBC) and YHC (5-7, 1-3 PBC) are both looking to snap their losing streaks. CSU fell to Clayton State on Jan. 7 and YHC lost to Clayton on Jan. 4 and Augusta on Jan. 7. The Lady Cougars rank sixth in the latest PBC standings, and Young Harris is eighth.

Emilia Tenbrock are CSU's leading scorers, with Abusbeih averaging 12.5 points per game and Tenbrock 12.4. For the Mountain Lions, Mackenzie Johnson leads in scoring, averaging 15.9 points per game and ranks second in the PBC.
For the men, CSU (9-5, 2-2 PBC) looks to continue their two-game win streak, beating PBC foes Flagler College on Jan. 4 and Clayton State on Jan. 7. YHC (12-1, 3-1 PBC) looks to snap their one-game losing streak, falling to Augusta on Jan. 7. The Cougars rank sixth in the latest PBC standings and Young Harris is fourth.
Nelson Haskin is the leading scorer for the Cougars, averaging 11.0 points per game. He also sits in the top-4 in the PBC for rebounds, with 101 and averaging 7.2 rebounds per game. Karl Chavis leads Young Harris in scoring, averaging 12.6 points per game and ranking 11th in the PBC.
