SAINT LEO, Fla. - The Columbus State University women's basketball team defeated Mercy College 67-54 Saturday afternoon in Saint Leo's Holiday Classic. The Lady Cougars improve to 4-4 overall.
The Lady Cougars maintained the lead throughout the entirety of the game, outscoring Mercy in the first three quarters.
Letiya Reeves led Columbus State with 19 points, shooting 63 percent (7-11) from the field.
Amber Abusbeih added 13 points and grabbed six rebounds, and
Olivia West tallied 10 points and recorded seven rebounds.
As a team, CSU shot 49 percent (25-51) from the field and 55 percent (11-20) from the free throw line.

The Lady Cougars will play in an exhibition game against Point University on Saturday, Dec. 30 at 1:30 p.m. inside the Lumpkin Center.
