COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University men's and women's basketball teams are set to host Peach Belt Conference contender Flagler College on Saturday, Feb. 4 inside the Frank G. Lumpkin, Jr. Center. Women will tip off at 1:30 p.m. and the men will follow at 3:30 p.m.
WOMEN:
CSU (12-7, 6-5 PBC)
FC (6-15, 3-8 PBC)
- CSU is looking to extend it's win streak to three games after beating USC Aiken 90-80 on Wednesday, Feb. 1.
- Flagler is also looking for it's third straight win, beating Georgia College on Wednesday 59-53.
- Emilia Tenbrock is the Lady Cougars' leading scorer, averaging 15.3 points per game. Amber Abusbeih and Olonna Rawls are also offensive threats, averaging about 13 ppg.
- Sharale McCormick leads Flagler's offense, averaging 15.2 points per game.
MEN:
CSU (12-9, 5-6 PBC)
FC: (11-11, 5-6 PBC)
- CSU is looking to obtain it's fourth straight win after beating USC Aiken in a thrilling overtime game, 80-77, on Wednesday, Feb. 1.
- Flagler is looking to get back into the win column after suffering a close 88-89 loss to Georgia College on Wednesday.
- Nelson Haskin leads the Cougars in scoring, averaging 11.6 points per game. Daniel Melvin is also a threat, averaging 10.6 points per game.
- For Flagler, Malik Brown averages 16.4 points per game. Kyle Young averages 15.1 and Jaylen Lemons 14.6 points per game
