FAIRBURN Ga. – The Columbus State University cross country teams finished competition at the Asics Invitational hosted by Clayton State University at Bouckaert Farms, with a men's first place team finish and a fourth place team finish on the women's side. The men's 8k race started at 7:45 a.m. with 17 teams, including Georgia Tech. The women's 5k race started at 8:45 a.m. with 21 teams, including several Division I teams. 

The Cougars started the day off with Blake Lewis crossing the line in third place at 25:49.23 in the men's 8k race; Aidan Rush (26:14.91), crossed the line in fourth place behind Lewis. 

Savian Taylor (26:40.00) crossed the line in 11th place, followed by Logan Fisher (26:43.69), grabbing 15th place. Finishing in 19th, 21st, and 28th, respectively, was Elijah Sires (27:01.64), Daniel Leonard (27:02.48), and Mark Ravenscraft (27:22.26) 

CSU women's cross country followed with a fourth-place team finish in the Clayton State-hosted meet. Kaeleigh Brooks (24:36.0) shook things up, crossing the line in 14th place as the top finisher for the Lady Cougars. Alesia Johnson (19:49.19) finished 24th and Royal Delay (19:50.94) crossed the line in 25th. Finishing in 29th, 42nd, and 49th, was Katerina Valenta (20:07.27), Emily Marin (21:22.89) and Zoey Roberts (21:52.81).
