KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches announced the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Scholar All-America Teams on Thursday, and the Columbus State University Women's Soccer program was represented by two student-athletes as senior midfielder
Sarah Hungerford and junior defender
Kelsey Croft earned national recognition.
Hungerford was named to the First Team, while Croft received Second Team honors, marking another milestone for a Columbus State program that continues to excel both on the field and in the classroom.
A senior from Richmond Hill, Ga., Hungerford compiled a 3.41 GPA while majoring in Kinesiology and Nursing. She also delivered a standout season on the pitch, starting all 21 matches and logging 1,377 minutes. Hungerford led the Cougars with 12 goals, nine assists, and 33 points, finishing with 56 shots and 29 shots on goal while serving as a key playmaker in the midfield throughout the 2025 campaign.
Croft, a junior from Douglasville, Ga., earned Second Team Scholar All-America honors after posting a 3.70 GPA as a Business major. A consistent presence on the back line, Croft started all 21 matches and played a team-high 1,663 minutes, anchoring a Cougar defense that limited opponents and helped drive another successful season for Columbus State.
The Scholar All-America honor recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate excellence in academics and athletics, requiring a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 and outstanding competitive achievements.
With two selections on the 2025 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Women's Scholar All-America Teams, Columbus State continues to showcase its commitment to developing champions in competition, academics, and leadership.
