COLUMBUS – Columbus State University sophomore forward
Mia Robinson has been selected as the Columbus State Athletics Athlete of the Week after a stellar pair of performances that helped the Lady Cougars remain unbeaten in their last two outings.
The Camden, S.C., native played a pivotal role in CSU's dominant 7–0 victory over Middle Georgia, scoring the opening goal that set the tone for the afternoon. She followed it up with another clutch performance against Catawba College, delivering the equalizer in a hard-fought 1–1 draw that preserved the Lady Cougars' momentum.
A graduate of Camden High School, Robinson is a Psychology major at Columbus State and continues to emerge as one of the program's key offensive weapons. Her ability to rise to the moment in crucial situations has drawn praise from coaches and teammates alike.
Robinson credits her athletic journey to her family, sharing that her brother and sister have been the greatest influences on her career:
"Looking up to them for years made me want to pursue a collegiate soccer career, and they always push and challenge me," Robinson said.
With her confidence and scoring touch building, Robinson has firmly established herself as a player to watch in Peach Belt Conference play, representing the heart, drive, and determination of Columbus State women's soccer.
