COLUMBUS, Ga. | Columbus State University Athletics brought Cougar Basketball and Halloween fun together Monday, October 26th, as the Columbus community gathered inside the Frank G. Lumpkin Jr. Center for Cougar Madness BOOsketball, presented by Chick-fil-A.

The celebration provided a festive kickoff to Halloween week while giving fans an opportunity to meet the Columbus State Men's and Women's Basketball teams ahead of the 2026-27 season. With free admission and parking, the evening welcomed families, students, and alumni for a great night of spooktacular fun!

Following a performance by the CSU cheer team, player introductions put both basketball programs in the spotlight. The Cougars then showcased their skills through a three-point contest and dunk contest, bringing the community closer to the student-athletes they will cheer on at the Lumpkin Center this season.

Fans joined the action through a half-court shot contest for a chance to win a television. Costume contests and trick-or-treating rounded out the Halloween festivities, providing opportunities for all people in attendance to take part in the fun.

Beyond the basketball activities, BOOsketball celebrated the connection between Columbus State Athletics and the surrounding community. The evening brought Cougar fans together to support both programs and build excitement for the season ahead.

Columbus State Athletics thanks Chick-fil-A for its support as presenting sponsor and all of the families, alumni, students, and community members who helped make BOOsketball a memorable start to Halloween week.
