The Columbus State University Athletics Department provides numerous opportunities for athletes of all ages to develop their skills in a safe, fun and sportsmanlike environment. Campers will be taught by one of the top coaching staffs in the nation in addition to having the chance to make new friends and summer memories. Our goal is to improve and challenge athletes on an athletic and individual level that will eventually lead to success on and off the field. Baseball Camps

2024 Prospect Camp
Columbus State University Baseball is hosting the 2024 CSU Prospect Camp for all high school aged (9th-12th grade) players at Burger King Stadium at Ragsdale Field on the campus of CSU. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate your skills to the CSU coaches. Instruction by the baseball coaching staff will be given to your specific position while a professional style workout format will be used to evaluate your skills and you will be able to show our staff your abilities in a game.

Women's Basketball Camps
Individual Camp
This camp is for girls who are interested in playing basketball and learning the game. Individual camp is for beginners all the way to players who are experienced. CSU wants to help grow the game of girls basketball with great instruction while having fun doing it. So come out and get some great coaching and see how fun playing this game can really be

Elite Camp
This camp includes fun opportunities to meet new faces and interact with some of our Lady Cougar basketball players and coaches. Campers will learn the fundamentals of basketball and what it takes to play at the collegiate level, as well as 5-on-5 scrimmage situations and learning advanced skills and drills.

Team Camp
The NCAA has a shutdown period for college coaches going out and visiting campuses June 1st to June 15th. This team camp allows you to bring your players on our campus which allows us to talk and recruit. This is a great opportunity to put players in front of our coaching staff and to play some great games to improve on getting better for next season.
Our 2021 team camp included East Coweta, Lanier, Grayson, Hardaway, and many others. Make sure you don't miss the chance to compete with these fine programs!

Cheerleading Camps

Dance Camp
Come have fun with the Columbus State spirit program at our annual Dance Camp at the Frank G. Lumpkin Jr. Center. The camp will feature all varieties of dances working with individuals or teams. The week will end with a grand finale on Friday for family and friends.

49th Annual Cheer Camp
The longest running camp at Columbus State, the 49th annual CSU cheer camp is a can't miss opportunity to learn from one of the top Division II programs in the nation. The camp feature cheers, chants, jumps, dances and a whole lot of fun. The CSU cheerleaders will offer guidance in all aspects of cheerleading, giving campers first-hand knowledge of the fundamentals. The week will end on Friday morning with a Pep Rally for family and friends. Campers will meet at the Frank G. Lumpkin Jr. Center on the campus of CSU.

Golf Camps

FUN-damentals of Golf Camp
Taught by one of the most prestigious NCAA DII golf programs in the nation, the FUN-damentals of Golf Camp is perfect for the young golfer looking to gain deeper understanding of the sport and build confidence in their ability while having fun with other campers. All aspects of the game will be taught, including driving, iron play, chipping, bunker play and putting, as well as learning the rules and correct etiquette. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. All campers are required to wear appropriate clothes and golf or tennis shoes and have their own golf equipment. The camp will be held at the Key Golf Studio located on 3434 University Ave. Columbus, Ga. 31907.

Soccer Camps

Individual Camp
The Columbus State Individual Soccer Camp is one of the most popular camps offered by CSU, with full or half day options being provided. Campers will get instruction from one of the best NCAA soccer staffs in the nation and have a blast interacting with current and former Cougar soccer players. The half-day camper will get hands-on instruction and play small group games from 9 a.m. to noon. The full-day camper will get that plus lunch in the CSU Cafe, indoor soccer actives and swimming in the CSU Recreation Center! The campers will meet at the Walden Soccer Complex on the CSU campus.

CSU Elite Showcase Day Camp
This camp is designed for players who wish to be seen and trained by college coaches from across the country. College coaches will be brought in from the NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and junior college levels to scout and work with players as future college prospects. This camp is also geared towards younger players who wish to expand their soccer knowledge and be trained by USSF and NSCAA Licensed coaches.

CSU Striker/GK Soccer Camp
This camp offers specialty training for players who like to score goals and become better Goalkeepers. The entire week will focus on being the best strikers and goalkeepers in the area. This camp is for players who want the next level training.

Softball Camps
Offense Clinic
Offense Clinic is an offense-only camp focusing on the overall ability to hit the long ball, consistent barrel control, understanding of the lower-half involvement and run production as a hitter. This camp focuses primarily on the softball player that can swing away. The player will learn first hand information that Columbus State Softball utilizes to create the ultimate power-hitter and what is important to be a well-rounded offense player. This camp is for the player that wants the next level training.

Summer Prospect Camp
This camp is designed for all high school players that are looking to hone their skill and also gain insight on what it takes to be a college softball player. Players will take part in a MLB style evaluation workout, college drill work on all aspects of the game, and an opportunity to participate in "Live Situations."

Skills Camp
CSU Softball Skills Camp is a full and half day option camp. This camp is for players between the ages of 6-14. Skills Camp is focused towards the drill aspect of the game for all levels of experienced campers. Morning sessions will include drill work and game knowledge information and afternoon sessions will include live play and slip-n-slide. Campers are advised to bring their own water bottle, bat, glove, cleats, helmet and tennis shoes.

Infielders Defense Clinic
Infielder Defense Clinic is an elite infielders camp with drill work, live play and competition focused on infield defense only. This camp is for the experienced softball player and we recommend players only attend if they have at least 3 years of experience. Information gained from this camp will provide each camper with a further understanding of how to improve your overall infield ability utilizing drill work that Columbus State Softball uses in their player development. This camp is for the player that wants the next level training.

Elite Drills Clinic
Elite Drills Clinic will focus on drill work in all aspects of the game. This camp is for the experienced softball player. We recommend your player have at least 3 years of experience when registering for this camp. All defensive positions will be covered as well as offense. Players will be separated into groups based on positions and take part in drill work used to develop players at the college level. Defense session will include information about infield quickness, outfield range, pitching control and critique as well as catchers mechanics and efficiency. During offense sessions, you will receive knowledge about hitting the long ball, lower half power, barrel control and run production.  This camp is for the player that wants the next level training.

Team Camps
Team Camp is an opportunity for any high school, travel or club organization to receive one-on-one focus from the CSU Softball Coaching Staff. Team Camps are customized per team to accommodate interests from each program and provided age-group appropriate instruction. Teams are required to bring a minimum 20 player roster for each team camp date scheduled.
