Columbus State University Athletics

Caitlyn is entering her first year of playing at Columbus State.

JUCO: Played under Coach Donna Campbell for two years… had a major presence in the middle infield for the Fillies her sophomore year as she registered a .893 fielding percentage.

High School: Graduated Jones County High School of Gray, GA… Played four years at Jones County …Helped lead the Lady Greyhounds to their fourth best record in school history, at the time, which culminated with a 5^th place finish in state.

Personal: Daughter of Johanna and Steven Asbell…Says her mother is the most influential person in her life…says her most memorable moment in sports was when her sick grandfather was able to come watch her play… lists Derek Jeter as her sports role model and also her favorite professional athlete… enjoys playing softball, coaching little kids, hanging out with her family, and going to church in her spare time… chose to come to CSU because of the great atmosphere around campus and in the city of Columbus.
