Katie Durham is in her third year as an assistant coach for the Columbus State University softball program for 2020-21. A former Lady Cougar, Durham returned to Columbus State after two seasons in the junior college ranks.
Durham, then Katie White, played in 90 games for the Lady Cougars during the 2015 and 2016 seasons. She hit .268 as a junior playing in just 37 games due to injury before starting all 53 in her senior season. Durham hit .275 in 2016 with five doubles, a team-best five triples and four home runs. She also swiped 32 bases in 36 chances.
Durham started her coaching career at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. KCC put together a 55-6 overall record in 2017, winning a district and region championship, with an appearance in the NJCAA National Tournament.

From there, Durham joined the staff at Jones County Junior College in Ellisville, Miss. for the 2018 season. This past spring, JCJC posted a 54-3 mark capped off with a perfect run through the postseason and a national championship.
Durham graduated from Columbus State University with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and kinesiology, with a concentration in business management.
