Nina Rubio

Nina Rubio is in her second year as a Graduate Assistant Coach and seventh year overall with the Columbus State University softball program in 2015-16. She spent four years as a player and the 2015 season as a student assistant.
 
Nina played for the Lady Cougars from 2011-14, helping CSU to back-to-back Peach Belt Conference Tournament championships in 2012 and 2013. During her four years, the Lady Cougars posted a 154-76 record. Rubio played in 212 games over her four-year career amassing 130 hits, 85 runs and 47 RBIs. She currently ranks inside the CSU top 10 for games played, assists and putouts in a career.
 
Nina completed her undergraduate degree in May of 2015, graduating with a Bachelor’s in Health Science and is now pursuing a Master’s in School Counseling.
 
As a player and now as a coach, Nina gives lessons and works with kids throughout the Columbus area.
