Andresa Brown is in her first season as a member of the Columbus State University women's basketball staff in 2016-17.
Brown brings over 27 years of coaching experience across various levels with her to CSU. She has worked as the head coach of the Fort Benning women's basketball team, helping to reinitiate the proram that restarted three years prior. Brown also worked as the head coach for the GA Lady Roadrunners semi pro women's team that plays in the Women's Blue Chip Basketball League (WBCBL). Additionally, Brown has spent more than 12 years coaching Exposure/AAU girls basketball. She also holds more than 20 years of officiating experience, including working at the Division I level.
Brown's playing career included a Rookie of the Year selection at the U.S. Military Academy where she played two seasons. She continued her playing career overseas spending two seasons with Mannheim in Germany. Brown helped the Lady Mustangs to a European National Championship and was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Prior to her collegiate career, Brown starred at Marion High School in Indiana, earning All-State and All-Conference honors. In 2014, she was a Silver Anniversary Team Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame inductee.
Outside of basketball, Brown has been a registered nurse for more than 14 years and was an ER trauma nurse for over seven. She is also a certified sports and fitness trainer for B.E.S.T. Academy.
Brown enjoys spending time with her four children - Bianca (23), John (21), Jazaria (19) and Joel (16).
