Kaihla Carter

Kaihla Carter is entering her second season as a graduate assistant coach for the Columbus State University women’s basketball team for the 2023-24 season.

After playing one season at Alabama State University, Carter wrapped up her career at Columbus State from 2017-20 season Carter was a crucial member of the women’s basketball team for her three years as she made an instant impact as a sophomore and turned into one of the top point guards and 3-point shooters in the Peach Belt Conference entering her senior season. Carter played in 84 games as a Cougar, scoring over 480 career points and dishing out 195 assists. Carter played in one NCAA tournament in 2018 while CSU averaged 19 wins during her three seasons.

Carter played professionally overseas with the El Ghaba team of the Egypt  Women's Division I Basketball League in 2021-22 season.
 
Carter received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, with a focus in Film Production from CSU, and is now pursuing her master’s degree in Communication: Creative Services Management, with the plan to graduate in 2024.
