Cory Guinn joins the athletics department in the Spring of 2025, bringing nearly two decades of experience in athletics to the Sports Information and Media Relations Department.

Guinn has spent the past four years with The Scorer's Table, serving as a statistician and communications professional for various colleges and athletic conferences across the nation.
 
He previously spent four years at Queens University of Charlotte as the Director of Strategic Communications. In addition to his duties in athletic communications as the primary contact for baseball, women's basketball, tennis, swimming, and volleyball, Guinn oversaw the department's branding and graphic design efforts, managed the athletic communication graduate assistants, and oversaw all strategic communication efforts on social media and marketing
 
Before joining the Royals, Guinn was the New Media Coordinator at Barton College in Wilson, N.C. There, he was responsible for the athletic department's graphic design and social media while providing media coverage for men's soccer, men's and women's volleyball, women's basketball, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's tennis, and baseball.
 
Additionally, Guinn also worked on the in-game entertainment and video production staff for the Carolina Mudcats, the Class-A Advanced affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, for three seasons.
 
Guinn, who spent five years working with the sports information staff at North Greenville University as a student assistant and graduate assistant (2009-2014), has been a member of CSC and NCCSIA, as well as serving as a committee member for the D2SIDA Women's Basketball Southeast Regional Media Poll and the NCBWA Southeast Regional Poll. 

He earned both a bachelor's degree in journalism ('12) and a master's degree in secondary education from NGU ('14) and graduated from Queens in 2019 with an MBA.

Guinn has been married to his wife, Jillian, since 2018, and is a proud father of four.
