Giulia Cianfriglia joined the Columbus State softball coaching staff for the 2026 season.

During her first season with the Cougars, Cianfriglia helped Columbus State post a 35-23 overall record and a 20-7 mark in Peach Belt Conference play. The Cougars advanced to the Peach Belt Conference Tournament semifinals and earned a berth in the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional.

Columbus State recorded conference series victories over USC Beaufort, Georgia College, Middle Georgia State, Augusta, Georgia Southwestern, North Georgia, USC Aiken and Lander. The Cougars also earned two wins over nationally ranked North Georgia during the regular season and defeated Augusta and Georgia College in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament.
